Facilitate learning in a community context US

The person credited with this unit standard is able to conduct a learning experience for the community (groups and/or individuals) as a means of developing opportunities for the transfer of learning according to the identified needs and objectives of the specific community. The standard aims to develop persons capable of conducting learning experiences that will enhance the participants` physical, social, emotional and intellectual capacities in a safe environment, and will benefit the programme facilitators, participants and the community as a whole.

The qualifying learner is capable of:
Describing the role of the facilitator in a specific context.
Promoting and encouraging a participatory learning environment.
Using a variety of facilitation styles and approaches.
Evaluating group learning processes within the organisation.
