Christopher Columbus’ journey of discovery began with discovering some things about himself. Columbus had to learn sailing and navigation. He had to learn how to meet with royalty. He had to learn how to be a fundraiser. He had to learn how to be a ship’s captain. Many of these skills he did not already possess. However, he did possess an overwhelming passion to move forward and a strong belief that crossing the ocean was possible and that the rewards would be worth the effort.

 Many people miss the adventure of a lifetime simply because they are busy with the small details of life, or they are content watching television or surfing the internet. Adventures require action. Adventurers are people of action.
